I love the halogen syphon machines at Blue Bottle Mint Plaza, so I'm definitely making the trip to Billy Burg next time I'm in the vicinity.

So, this place is awesome. I had the pleasure of meeting Brewer/Owner Adam Lamoreaux this past Friday and not only does he brew some fine beer, he's a damn nice guy as well. He's got some great stories to tell about getting into brewing and what it has been like opening the first production brewery in Oakland in over a hundred years.

It's hard for me to underscore how cool of an operation Adam has going right now, so I'll just say check out their website, grab their twitter feed, and go to one of the few fortunate eateries around that have Linden Street Beer on tap. The list is on their homepage.

Watch out for this one - with beer like his, he's bound for more success.
